From 12 September 2024 Xero is changing its plans

Xero has advised that for most existing customers (users) the new plans will include the same or more features for the same or lower price.

Xero is also giving customers time to change over, so there is no rush to change over on 12 September 2024.

For existing customers where the new plan has the same or more features at the same or lower price, Xero will automatically move you to the new plan in February 2025.

For existing customers who will see a new price increase from moving to a new plan, Xero will not move you till September 2025.

New Xero customers must choose one of the new plans.

Please note the Cashbook with GST will no longer be available under the new plans. Clients using this product will need to move to a new plan, below, but have until September 2025 to do this. The Cashbook without GST is still available through Alliott NZ.

Below is summary of what to expect and timings per the Xero website:

Full details on what Xero users will be moved to and when — will be sent via e-mail

February 2025

Xero will move users to new plans where there is no increase to the price, based on the migration approach outlined above

September 2025

Xero will move users to new plans where it would mean paying more, based on the migration approach outlined above

Please also be aware with the new plans that:

  • If you require more employees than is in your chosen plan below for Payroll and expenses, there is an additional cost of $5 per month per additional user for expenses and $1 per employee up to a maximum of 200
  • Please also note you can only get Projects now with the Ultimate Plan, whereas before you could add it on with the Standard plan. We understand Xero is looking into this as they are aware this could be a large increase for some customers. Alliotts will advise once we hear.
